The Arulmigu Sri Rajakaliamman Glass Temple is one of the oldest Hindu temples in Johor Bahru, the second largest city of Malaysia and one of the leading tourist attractions. Established in 1922, the temple got its new life in 1991 and was listed as first and only glass temple in Malaysia on May 2010.
The temple was inherited by Sri Sinnathamby Sivasamy from his father and he remade the humble temple made of all glass with an inspiration from shine of glass artwork which he seen when he was riding in a tuk-tuk. The whole temple complex is covered by 300,000 vivid and colorful glass pieces and the mosaic is adorned with thousands of beads made of glass, along with statues of Mother Teresa and Gautama Buddha.
