About Bird Park:-
The history of the Bird Park dates back from 1888 during the establishment of Lake Gardens. Initially, the Bird Park belonged to the Lake Gardens. In 1991, the Kuala Lumpur Bird Park was officially introduced. Along with Bird Park, other attractions in Lake Gardens are the Orchid and Hibiscus Gardens, Butterfly Park Kuala Lumpur, an artificial lake and the National Monument. Kuala Lumpur Bird Park is one of the top spots you shouldn’t miss as it is also the largest free-flight aviary in the world.
While strolling around the serene walkway of the park, visitors can enjoy the serene views of the birds of different sizes and colors. You will find different birds that can grab your attention with every step you take. In the park, some of the main attractions include the flamingo pond, the hornbill park, the egg incubation area, the world of parrots, and the bird gallery and education center. Getting There:-
You can easily reach the Kuala Lumpur Bird Park as it is located close from the city centre. You can hop on the KTM commuter train towards the KTM Old Railway Kuala Lumpur Station. From there, the park is located only 5 minutes of distance.
Otherwise, the bus is another popular public transport here. Take the Rapid KL Bus B115 at KotaRaya Shopping Plaza till Jalan Parliamen. Stop at the main entrance if you take Grab or taxi. You can also drive towards the park but there is limited parking space.
Things to Do:-
You can stop by the large water feature and amphitheater, where bird shows are held from 12.30 PM and 3.30 PM every day. You can also feed the birds and befriend with these feathered creatures.
