LANGKAWI WILDLIFE PARK & BIRD PARADISE

General Info

Stretched over 5.5 acres of landscapes, the Langkawi Wildlife Park has the true environment of tropical rainforest in Kilim area, which is accessible with 10 minutes’ drive from Kuah. Initially, it was named Langkawi bird Paradise when it was opened in 2002. It had only varied species of birds in aviaries. Over time, they have added many reptiles, mammals and other exhibits and named as Langkawi Wildlife Park.

Malaysia Langkawi Wildlife Park Bird Paradise Attraction Tour

The Langkawi Wildlife Park Tour consists of around 150 species of birds and animals from Africa, South East Asia, Australia, South America, Russia and Malaysia. However, it doesn’t have leopards, tigers or other large species. It especially keeps those mammals which are easy to take care of. The Langkawi Bird Paradise Tour is mainly famous for two things –

1. First Wildlife Park of its kind in Asia. It has covered and roofed tracks all the way from entrance to exit so you can always enjoy its exhibits, whether it is shine or rain.
2. Feeding sessions to get up closer to many birds and animals. Even visitors can hand feed most of them here. This activity makes the whole trip amazing to families and children. There are also food bags available for RM6, which have food for birds and animals. You may learn from the boards after each exhibit as what food you should feed to what bird or animal.

Timings for Animal Feeding

There are specific times for some birds and animals. You cannot feed them all at any time of the day. The Animal Talk Show is also available at specific time. Keep these schedules in mind to plan your visit -

1. Enjoy Macaw Feeding, waterfalls
2. Animal Talk Show – 11am and 3pm everyday
3. Love Birds (budgerigars) feeding – 9am to 10am, 5pm to 7pm everyday
4. Feeding time for Crocodiles – 11.30am on Tuesday and Saturday
5. Feeding for Amazon Arapaima – 10.30am everyday
6. There is no specific feeding time for other animals.

Note – Buy feeding fun food for animals and birds from a stall around the entry gate if you plan for bird and animal feeding.

Entrance

1. RM39 for adults and RM 22 for children (3 to 12 years) and seniors (55 years or above)
2. Mykad Holders – RM24 for adults and RM 16 for children and seniors.

1. Opening Hours: - 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM (Daily)
2. Buy food pack to feed the animals which cost RM6
3. Private guide is also available for RM20.
4. Family packages are also available for entry.
5. Opens everyday from 8.30am to 6pm. The park closes at 7.30pm but last entry ticket is available at 6pm.
